SUNO to hold ribbon cutting for Information Technology Center and Support Our Southern launch
Southern University, New Orleans, (SUNO), will cut the ribbon for its Information Technology Center on Wednesday, March 16 at 11 a.m. in front of the building on the Lake Campus at 6801 Press Drive.
The University will also hold the Support Our Southern SUNO launch as a part of the program.
"This is exciting for SUNO," said Victor Ukpolo, Chancellor of SUNO. "To officially cut the ribbon for this building provides more affirmation that the University is strong and viable." The center opened its doors in Fall 2010.
Support Our Southern is, "a general support and fundraising campaign dedicated to preserving access to education, excellence in teaching, and most importantly ensuring the perpetuity" of the Southern University System. Ron Mason Jr., president of the Southern University System, will be on hand to provide comments to the media about the campaign and the System's latest efforts.
