SULC Minority Law and Research Institute closing awards program, June 30
The closing event and awards presentation of the 11th Annual Minority Law and Research Institute will be held at the Southern University Law Center, 130 A. A. Lenoir Hall, at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 30.
More than 60 minority high schools students from Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Virginia participated in the two-week program held June 20-July 1 on the SULC campus.
Institute participants will be recognized for their achievements in mock trials and research projects in law.
The institute, held in conjunction with the Aunt Berta's Education Foundation, is designed to introduce under-represented students to legal studies and to consider careers in the legal profession.
