La. Supreme Court chief justice to be spring SUBR commencement speaker, May 17

Bernette J. Johnson, the first African-American chief justice of the Louisiana Supreme Court, will be the commencement speaker at Southern University Baton Rouge's spring graduation ceremonies.

Commencement begins at 10:30 a.m., on May 17, 2013, and will be held in the F.G. Clark Activity Center.

Johnson was officially sworn in as chief justice on February 1, 2013.
