The families of Southern University Baton Rouge students Lashuntae Benton and Annette January, who died Sunday, April 10, 2016, in an incident off campus, have announced memorial arrangements for Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16.

Hundreds attended a candlelight vigil sponsored by the SUBR Student Government Association, Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union, in honor of the fallen students.

The Southern University System Foundation (SUSF) has established a memorial fund to support the families of Benton and January. Contributions to the SUSF Benton - January Fund can be made here.
