SUBR | Digital Media Arts Technician | Position: Full-Time Grant-In-Aid | Salary: $55,000 | Application Deadline: June 30, 2026

 

Job Description:

The Digital Media Arts Technician provides technical support for the Digital Media Arts program, assisting with computer hardware, software, and media equipment. This position supports faculty and students in the classroom, studio, and lab environments, ensuring the smooth functioning of the technology system used across all Digital Media Arts concentrations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with basic troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, and network systems; install and configure media-related technology; maintain optimal operation of classroom and lab equipment
  • Provide support for audio, video, and broadcast equipment use, including studio setups, recording systems, and multimedia peripherals
  • Help with maintaining and managing departmental technology systems, including computers, media servers, and storage networks
  • Assist faculty in solving technical issues related to coursework, labs, and student projects within the DMA curriculum
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues in collaboration with campus IT support; ensure secure and efficient connectivity for DMA resources
  • Maintain detailed records and inventory of departmental technology, ensuring accurate tracking of assets, repairs, and checkouts

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree 
  • Two or more years of experience
