Job Description:

The position is a 9-month (academic year), tenure-track appointment as Assistant/Associate Professor of Agricultural Economics/Agribusiness. The successful candidate must exemplify a commitment to collegiality and excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends required for events, training sessions, or travel. Some in-state and out-of-state travel may be necessary for site visits, leadership programs, conferences, and partner meetings. Commitment to collegiality. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teaching primarily undergraduate courses emphasizing agricultural economics, agricultural financial management, agricultural marketing, or agribusiness management.
  • Student advisement, recruitment/retention, research, grant proposal development, and curriculum development.
  • Program assessment, securing external funding, engage in scholarly research/publications
  • Performing related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Agriculture, Economics, Business, or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
  • 6 months to a year of experience
  • Demonstrates a record of excellence in teaching, student learning, scholarship/research, and service.
  • Knowledge of technology-enhanced learning
