JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Head Bowling Coach is responsible for the overall management, development, and leadership of the collegiate bowling program. This position includes coaching, recruiting, student-athlete development, academic monitoring, scheduling, budget management, and compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations. The Head Bowling Coach will promote a positive and competitive environment that supports student-athlete success both academically and athletically.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan, organize, and conduct practices, competitions, conditioning sessions, and player development activities.
  • Recruit, evaluate, and retain qualified student-athletes while maintaining recruiting records and communication.
  • Monitor academic progress, mentor student-athletes, and support retention and graduation efforts.
  • Coordinate team travel, scheduling, equipment, uniforms, and game-day operations.
  • Manage program budget, purchasing, inventory, and fundraising activities.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel as required.
  • Proven coaching and/or competitive playing experience at the collegiate level.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
