Ms. Maple L. Gaines of New Orleans was appointed to the Board of Supervisors of Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College.  Ms. Gaines is retired from the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal.  She will represent the 2nd congressional district.
