SMS Text Messaging

SMS (Short Message Service) text messaging is a way to send short written messages between mobile phones and other devices. It uses cellular networks instead of the internet, which means you can send and receive texts even without Wi-Fi or data service. SMS messages are typically limited to 160 characters and are commonly used for everyday communication, alerts, reminders, and verification codes.

The Southern University System primarily works with Twilio (SMS and communication aggregator) via a direct integration with mySUPortal (Pathify).
