Program Services
The Upward Bound South Program will operate on the Southern University at Shreveport campus.
A team of highly qualified professionals works to provide assistance in the following areas:
- Instruction in the core curriculum (Math, Laboratory Science, English, and Foreign Language)
- Personal Counseling
- Career exploration and planning
- Academic advice and assistance in secondary school, and other educational activities
- Information on postsecondary education
- Information on colleges and financial aid
- Assistance in completing college admissions and financial aid applications
- Informational workshops designed to help improve academic performance and self-confidence
- Exposure to cultural events, academic programs, and other educational activities
