SUNO enrollment highest since Katrina (News)
Southern University, New Orleans' (SUNO) enrollment has risen for the Fall 2010 semester and has reached its highest number since Hurricane Katrina. The University's success comes despite projections that the enrollment would dip below 2,900 students due to new higher admission standards.

The Southern University System and the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness are monitoring forecasts and weather announcements related to Tropical Storm Cindy in the Gulf of Mexico. The forecast track includes Louisiana with some wind, heavy rains, and possible flash flooding. Further strengthening is uncertain.

Southern University, New Orleans (SUNO) Foundation, has been awarded $25,000 from The Coca-Cola Foundation (the Foundation), the philanthropic arm of The Coca-Cola Company. The grant will provide first generation college scholarships to 20 students who are enrolled as full-time students at SUNO.

Suspected Criminal Acts
All knowledge or suspicion(s) of criminal acts or wrongdoing by employees of the Southern University System shall be reported to the Chief of Campus Police. Discovered and/or documentable criminal acts/wrongdoing of employees shall be reported to the Chief of the Campus Police. If reasonable cause exists to suspect criminal wrongdoing, especially of a non-obvious nature, including but not limited to theft, fraud, malfeasance, etc., employees, agents and other persons within or outside of the University shall make his/her suspicion(s) known to the Campus Police Chief.
