The Southern University System family is mourning the loss of Coach Thomas "Zeus" Hall.

Southern University's Alvin Batiste Jazz Tribute, scheduled for May 25,2011 on the Baton Rouge campus, has been postponed.

The Southern University System is conducting a System-wide Technology Survey in an effort to improve our technology services and to guide future plans.

The Nelson Mandela School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs at Southern University, Baton Rouge, will sponsor a statewide elected officials' conference in the Royal Cotillion Ballroom of the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union on Friday, February 25, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Season's Greetings From the Southern University System Office of the President

Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack announced the appointment of members to an advisory committee on Beginning Farmers and Ranchers on August 12. Out of the 11 appointees, two are members of the SU Ag Center's Small Farmer Agricultural Leadership Institute. Luciano Alvarado of North Carolina is a graduate of the second class and Frances Benton Gibson of South Carolina is a member of the institute's third class.
