The Southern University System statewide town hall meetings for alumni, stakeholders, and supporters will conclude in Franklinton, July 26 2012.

Join SU System President Ronald Mason Jr. as he shares, "Keys to the Future of the Southern System," an outline to encourage discussion and build a consensus agenda for a "new” Southern System.

The final town hall meeting will be Thursday, July 26, 2012, in Franklinton at Winan United Methodist Church, 622 18th Avenue, 6 p.m.

Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack announced the appointment of members to an advisory committee on Beginning Farmers and Ranchers on August 12. Out of the 11 appointees, two are members of the SU Ag Center's Small Farmer Agricultural Leadership Institute. Luciano Alvarado of North Carolina is a graduate of the second class and Frances Benton Gibson of South Carolina is a member of the institute's third class.
