Southern University and A&M College is holding its 2014 Centennial Gala at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014, at the L'Auberge Casino and Hotel in Baton Rouge. The event is a fundraiser for scholarships and tuition for deserving SU students.

The Southern University Board of Supervisors Friday, August 26, 2016, named Bobby R. Phills as chancellor/dean of the SU Ag Center and College of Agriculture.

SU Board names SUNO chancellor, elects 2017 officers

The Southern University (SU) Board of Supervisors, Friday, November 25, 2016, named interim chancellor Lisa Mims-Devezin as chancellor of Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO).
The SU Board of Supervisors also unanimously elected Ann A. Smith as chair, and the Rev. Donald R. Henry, as vice chair for 2017, during its regular meeting held in New Orleans.

Southern University Alumni Conference underway in Baton Rouge (News)
The 2011 Southern University National Alumni Conference continues through July 10 in Baton Rouge. This year's conference, "Bringing it Back to the Bluff," marks the return of the annual meeting to Baton Rouge, for the first time in 16 years.

Longtime SULC staffer receives ‘Above and Beyond’ Award for June
