SU observes the passing of former administrator Dr. Elton C. Harrison

Longtime Southern University administrator and ardent University supporter Elton C. Harrison died September 20, 2014. He was 97 and a resident of Baton Rouge.

Harrison served as vice president of Academic Affairs and was a former member of the Southern University Board of Supervisors.

ExxonMobil awards $66,810 to Southern University

Representatives of ExxonMobil's Baton Rouge plant presented Southern University with a $66,810 check as a contribution from employees and the company to the Baton Rouge campus.
