Baton Rouge- The countdown begins to the 2011 Southern University System Annual Radiothon set for Friday, October 28, 2011.

New Orleans, La. - The Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) Department of Athletics was recognized by the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) as a 2010-2011 Champions of Character Five Star Award winner.

Youth across Louisiana will have the time of their life as they interact with each other for two days of exciting seminars, exhibits, demonstrations, healthy competitions, and presentations.

Gala will help benefit the Southern University Department of Athletics. The Southern University Department of Athletics will hold its first Red Carpet on the Bluff Gala, June 17, 2011 at 7 p.m. in the A.W. Mumford Fieldhouse, on the Southern campus.

Frazier Hall who played first base for the Jaguars was picked by the Los Angeles Angels in the 16th round of day two of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft and pitcher Cody Hall was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the 19th round.
