SU System announces new executive VP for academic affairs and provost

Southern University System (SUS) today selected M. Christopher Brown II
as the new executive vice president for academic affairs and provost.
Brown has more than 10 years of experience in higher education
administration including serving as president of Alcorn State University
in Mississippi, and as executive vice president and provost at Fisk
University in Tennessee.

Bayou Classic signs extension with NBC Sports Group; new kickoff time for annual football contest

The Bayou Classic team announced August 3, 2015, that the 42nd Annual Bayou Classic will once again be broadcast on NBC, but this year will move to the broadcast company’s cable network – NBC Sports Network. Also new for 2015, the kickoff time for the Annual Bayou Classic has been moved from its traditional 1:30 pm CST to a new kickoff time of 4:00 pm CST.
Southern University System Foundation to launch Million Dollar March, July 23

The Southern University System Foundation will launch a 90-day viral fundraising campaign at noon, Thursday, July 23, 2015, at the Donald C. Wade House located on the Southern University Baton Rouge Campus. Alumni, students, SUS Board Members, staff, and faculty volunteers will be in attendance at the campaign lunch.
