A Southern University System (SUS) Board of Supervisors' Chancellor Search Committee today announced six semi-finalists for the position of chancellor for Southern University Shreveport (SUSLA).

Southern University System President-Chancellor Ray L. Belton today announced a search committee to recruit, screen, and recommend final candidates for the position of chancellor for the Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center (SU Ag Center).

SULC alumnus Domoine D. Rutledge, general counsel for East Baton Rouge Parish School System and chairman of the Southern University System Foundation, will be the featured speaker for a hooding ceremony recognizing the Fall 2015 graduates of the Southern University Law Center, Friday, January 8, 2016, in the Royal Cotillion Ballroom of the Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union, Southern University Baton Rouge campus, 6 p.m.

The Southern University System will observe December 23, 2015 - January 4, 2016, as the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. All offices will re-open Monday, January 4, 2016.

Brown has more than 10 years of experience in higher education administration including serving as president of Alcorn State University in Mississippi, and as executive vice president and provost at Fisk University in Tennessee.
