SU Marching Band's drumline headed to Morocco

Southern University Marching Band's drumline will soon be on its way to
captivate audiences in the North African countries of Morocco and
Algeria.
Fourteen members of the famous "Human Jukebox" band will be performing
in theaters, a children's center, sporting events, a morning television
show and conducting workshops for young drummers, while touring cities
in the two countries.

ESPN's "SporsNation" co-hosts Michelle Beadle and Marcelllus Wiley and crew, set up camp at Southern University where they broadcast the popular show live on the Mississippi River bluff on campus, Thursday, January 13.

Will M. Campbell Jr., former Liberty Bank regional manager for the Baton Rouge and Opelousas region, has been named the new director of Southern University's Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC).

SUNO share of Coca-Cola Foundation grant to provide scholarships

Southern University, New Orleans (SUNO) Foundation, has been awarded $25,000 from The Coca-Cola Foundation (the Foundation), the philanthropic arm of The Coca-Cola Company. The grant will provide first generation college scholarships to 20 students who are enrolled as full-time students at SUNO.
