Southern University's computer science program accreditation reaffirmed by ABET, Inc.

Southern University's Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) will celebrate the United States Navy's 234th birthday on Tuesday, October13.

Edwin Walker, assistant professor, Department of Chemistry, Southern University, Baton rouge, has announced that SoURSCe, an on-campus research center, is now available free of charge to faculty members and students who do not have funding to support their research efforts.

The Southern University Student Health Center will be hosting a Fall Wellness Fair that will include blood pressure screening and H1N1 Flu registration, along with cholesterol and glucose screening. The Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 13, in the Smith- Brown Memorial Student Union.

Southern University, Baton Rouge will celebrate its Homecoming 2009 week with a number of activities, including a gospel concert, spirit day, an electrifying Greek show, and the annual parade in Scotlandville, all leading up to the Saturday, Oct. 17 football game against Fort Valley State.
