Southern University is required to designate an employee or department to assist enrolled or prospective students in obtaining pertinent information related to academic programs, college policies and procedures, enrollment statistics, campus safety, and financial aid information . Section 1. Officers of the System. The Board of Supervisors shall appoint the President; and, upon the recommendation of the President, it shall appoint other administrative officers of the University System as is deemed necessary. The Board shall establish, or cause to be established, procedures for the selection, appointment and evaluation of the President and the selection and appointment of other major administrative officers within the University System. These procedures shall include a method of obtaining expression of faculty opinion.
