Southern University and A&M College entered into a partnership with
Guizhou University in China that will bring student exchange,
scholarships, and research opportunities for SU and Ghizhou students as
early as next year.

Joe Leonard, USDA assistant secretary for civil rights is scheduled to speak at the Southern University's Global Food Security and Plant Biosecurity Symposium on November 9, 2010. Leonard will give remarks at 9:30 am at the Southern University Royal Cotillion Ballroom, Smith-Brown Memorial Student Union. Leonard will address symposium participants including students, guests, staff, administrators, community and faculty members.
