The accreditation of SUNO’s College of Education and Human Development has been re-affirmed by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)/National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The accreditation is granted until 2023.

Mrs. Smith represents the 5th Congressional District. She was reappointed to serve a 2nd term at the start of the 2017 year. Mrs. Smith is a retired school educator and administrator in Tangipahoa Parish; member of the Louisiana School Board Association; and former member of the Tangipahoa Parish School Board, District A.

REPEAL AND AMENDMENT TO REGULATIONS

The SU Civil Rights Commemoration Project will kickoff during the 2011 SU Founders' Day with the first in a series of video recording sessions to collect civil rights stories from former students/faculty/administrators and the public. The sessions will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Thursday, March 10, in the SU Field House.

Two separate search committees comprised of a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders will screen applicants and select finalists for two SU System campus chancellors.
